LogBox ecoV

Monitoring of sap and ion flow in trees
incl. monitoring of weather conditions
with integrated data logger

The LogBox ecoV is a complete autonomous measurement system, consisting of a data logger with integrated power supply and an additional sensor cable with one or more measurement units. Each measurement unit is mounted directly to the tree as one measurement point.

A measurement unit is equipped with a precise differential voltage sensor (two probe needles) for measurement of ion flow in the tree sap and a set of auxiliary sensors (air temperature, pressure and humidity) for monitoring of weather conditions. The auxiliary sensors provide data for direct comparison of ion flow characteristics with atmospheric conditions.

A weatherproof casing protects the instrument from rain, dirt and dust (protection IP67). Disturbing influences on the measurement device, like temperature changes between day and night or decreasing battery voltage, are compensated reliably. Thus, the LogBox ecoV always provides you precise measurement results even under difficult measuring conditions. It combines the high accuracy of a laboratory instrument with the robustness of a field measurement device.

We customize every sensor cable to perfectly meet your specific requirements - with up to 4 individually calibrated measurement units over a maximum cable length of 200 m.


LogBox - Series and Features

The LogBox ecoV works very energy-efficient. There are battery holders for 3 standard D-size batteries integrated into the casing. They provide enough energy to run a maintenance-free measurement for several months. For even longer unattended measurements there is an additional power connector to apply external 12-V power sources, like car batteries or AC-adaptors.

No tools are required for deployment or maintenance of the LogBox. Measured data are stored in a text file on a removable USB memory stick, which can be read on every computer.
